Is sugar bad? Here we go again. I’m about to go against the mainstream diet pattern and tell you why I think sugar is essential for being healthy. You heard me right! Essential is what I said.

Now before you start throwing darts at me or worse, linking every sort of study and articles on the evils of sugar, let’s make sure we are talking about the same first, okay? Okay.

This article is for those people, who in their quest to find absolute health, diet, venture off into extremes of dieting and not realizing how dangerous those extremes can be. If you believe sugar is the root of all health problems, and that you need to avoid sugar anyhow, this article is for you.

The Need

Our body is made up of trillions of cells, which are the building blocks for the tissues and organs. Every minute of every hour, cells must convert nutrients from the foods that we eat into usable energy to power growth, repair, reproduction, and movement.

Guess what? Sugar, in the form of glucose, is the preferred and most efficient fuel source used by the cells to generate usable energy.

When our cells fall short of glucose to do their job they find alternative means to obtain energy, particularly through Lipolysis (fat breakdown) or Gluconeogenesis (new sugar creation from our own body tissue) either.

These processes require the release of adrenaline and cortisol, commonly known as stress hormones. This is the reason why so many people have sensations of clarity, easy weight loss, and boundless energy while going for a no-sugar or low-carb diet. Their bodies start thriving on adrenaline and cortisol primarily, but the body is not designed to live off of these stress hormones and the long term results are bad.

In fact, ditching sugar can destroy metabolism and lead to a weakened immune system, poor digestion, impaired reproductive function and accelerated aging.

If you cut out all sugars of your diet, your body would soon begin failing. The brain relies on sugar, or say glucose, to function properly and efficiently. If you don’t have enough sugar in your bloodstream, you can become confused, forgetful, or even lapse into a coma.

I know it all because I was a sufferer, while I was on NO SUGAR diet my sleep was at an all time low; I was always cold and always peeing. I knew my health was not where it should be. So I started listening to my body. I added sugar (Kaloree1) back in my diet. That sugar provided my body with the glucose it needed to regulate my cortisol levels, it helped me get some sleep finally and have more energy than I have had during the NO SUGAR diet. Nothing else changed my condition, but sugar.

To be more conscious and healthy without losing out on the sweetness of life, replace your sugar with the sweetness of kaloree1. It gives the true taste of sugar without adding calories. Eat sweet and be healthy.
