Bananas are a great way to fill tummies and make children happy with the yummy pie. Banana cream pie is a great recipe that has sweet taste and is easy to prepare. It suits with every meal and is a perfect recipe for Easter or any other event. To give it an attractive look, you can garnish it using the whipped cream and slices of banana.
Servings – 8
Ingredients:
1/3 cup all-purpose flour
1/4 teaspoon salt
2 cups milk
3 beaten egg yolks
2 tablespoons butter
1/4 teaspoons vanilla extract
2 sachets of Kaloree1
4 bananas (sliced)
1 baked pastry shell, cooled
Directions:
Take a saucepan and mix the flour, and salt. Gradually add milk while stirring it gently. Now, cook over medium heat, until the mixture gets bubbles. Cook for about 2 minutes and keep stirring it, then remove from the burner.
Now, add beaten egg yolks to the rest of the hot mixture. Keep stirring it and cook for 2 more minutes. After removing it from the burner, add butter and vanilla. Stir it for some time till the mixture gets a smooth consistency. Let it cool down and add the sachets of kaloree1.
Slice bananas into the cooled baked pastry shell. Now, bake the mixture at 175 degrees Celsius for 12 to 15 minutes. Place it in the refrigerator for an hour.
